Cooperation and Acceptance is Imperative in the Treatment of Social Phobia

Cooperation is an essential ingredient in the plan for a successful and satisfying life.  By listening and seeing others viewpoints there will be less pressure to perform and tasks will easier to carry out.  Good results will come naturally. Your cooperation will be appreciated and others will be friendlier towards you and also more receptive.  Rather co-operate than compete. Be able to communicate clearly. You must realize that you make mistakes just as others do and you will make more in the future. Have respect for yourself and take pride in doing the things you do best.

Attitude and acceptance is important as we all face situations in our lives that cannot be changed and that makes us feel helpless and hopeless. Changing our thoughts and attitude can have an enormous effect on how we are feeling and help one to deal effectively with social phobia. When faced with a situation the first thing you can do is determine if there is a way to fix it. If there is not a reasonable solution then you can resign yourself to the fact that the situation is not going to change and move on.

Why will you not accept it if it does not have a solution?  Repeating this over and over in your mind will not make it disappear and this is self punishment.  Acceptance is an important ingredient in the formula of social phobia and life. It makes an annoying situation acceptable and a huge problem a minor.  If you find that there is no way out then just accept the situation for what it is and move on.

By accepting full responsibility for your social phobia you will be taking the most empowering step you can take. Taking responsibility means you don’t blame anyone else for your social phobia and it also means that you do not blame yourself. There is no basis for judging or blaming.  Our lives are as good as we decide to make them. As with any worthwhile project you should make short and long term plans and follow them through as well as rearrange and change then. It is your design and determination that decides your destiny and this is your responsibility.

When things go wrong we should not be quick to blame anyone. This can easily become a habit supplying us with ready excuses for our own mistakes and social phobias. One should make a special effort to be what you want to be and one must complete their tasks. Where there are injustices you should speak up.  We are individuals and should do what we believe in by taking responsibility for our actions. A good critical look at you is very helpful in determining what needs to be changed.

Once you have decided to acknowledge your share of the responsibility your ability to actually do something about your life will depend on your motivation. Are you motivated to change? Are you willing to learn and include new habits of thought and behavior into your life? Have the willingness is enough to make some basic changes in your lifestyle? “Suffering is the great motivator of growth”. If you are considerably distressed by your social phobia you’re likely to be more determined to do something about it.

Part of your healing process is being able to have the ability to receive constructive criticism if unable to this makes you dysfunctional. There are issues with selfish and selfless balance there are also great demands upon one’s energies and this can lead to burn out if you do not learn to say no.  When saying no, make sure that your voice is firm and direct. Remember that no is an honorable response.

Life is thought and when we cease to think, we are no longer living. How we think is the kind of life we live. Since we the ability to control our thoughts we can determine the course of our life. “We are what we think”.  Placing positive thoughts our minds will help to make our lives more positive and successful.  If we do not set our thoughts properly, we travel through life by way of places where we will wish we had not gone.
